|Jeffrey Broido has been a member of the San Diego DEC since 1989. He served as Treasurer and later Chairman. He was Treasurer for the highly successful DEC National Conference in San Diego in 2003. His education is in physics and engineering oriented to nuclear power applications. His professional experience is in nuclear reactor core design and analysis, and later in marketing and program management. During his working career he also had substantial experience in development of new methods of hazardous waste treatment and in operation and development of supercomputer centers. Mr. Broido specialized in international relationships, particularly government to government programs with special emphasis on Malaysia, Indonesia, Switzerland and Germany.
Jose E. Burciaga—San Diego Regional EDC
Jose Burciaga is pursuing his Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Management at University of California of San Diego. Jose worked as an intern at our USDOC headquarters in Washington D.C. for the International Trade Administration’s Trade Promotion & Events Office. Has extensive experience with International Trade, Cross-Border Research, and has lived in several countries (Germany, Mexico, and Great Britain). Jose is a highly talented young professional and he speaks Native Spanish, also some German.

|From 1994 thru 2013 Hugh served as Vice President of the World Trade Center San Diego. Hugh has organized trade missions to more than 20 countries and provides trade counseling, workshops, match-making and referrals, trade leads and trade research services to companies, as well as hosting inbound trade delegations. Hugh has more than 30 years international business development experience in the U.K., Australia, Asia, South America and the Middle East.

|Eric provides services in compilation, review and auditing of financial statements, U.S. and International tax planning and compliance. He has extensive experience in serving clients in industries that include real estate, manufacturing, technology, life sciences, wholesale and distribution. Eric was named the SBA’s 2006 San Diego District Financial Services Champion of the Year. He has presented seminars on enterprise value enhancement, international taxation, and manufacturing accounting systems. He has written and published articles on U.S. international tax incentives and cross-border conferences. Eric is the founding chairperson of the International Trade Advisory Board of the North County Chamber Association, and the current chairperson of the Hong Kong Association – San Diego Chapter.

Dr. Greg Gazda—University of San Diego; Professor Emeritus
|Dr. Gregory M. Gazda, Professor Emeritus of Marketing in the School of Business Administration, University of San Diego, joined USD in 1982 after eight years at San Diego State University. With a small group of interested faculty, Dr. Gazda was instrumental in the creation of the Master of International Business (MIB) degree (now the IMBA) in 1985 at USD, a program which became one of the largest specialized international business programs in the country. From 1985-1998 Dr. Gazda was Director of the MIB Program and overall international business programs.

|Sally Johnson represents TradeTeamGlobal in the United States. It is an Irish company providing short-term pre-shipment loans to exporters sending goods to Ireland, Great Britain or France using Documentary Letters of Credit. She also represents the British-American Business Council in Southern California.
